Harris found himself in a life-threatening situation when he became involved in a car accident in Kabul, Afghanistan. Harris was brought to Afshar hospital by local police a few minutes after the car accident. He was restless, pale, agitated, and had low oxygen and blood pressure levels. Afshar’s experienced staff in the urgent care department worked quickly to save Harris’ life. Afshar hospital is equipped with high-qualityequipment that allowed the medical staff to stop the bleeding, splint multiple fractures, and start oxygen and IV fluids. After
Harris was stabilized, he was referred to a traumatology department for further care. Fortunately for Harris, the lifesaving treatment delivered by Afshar hospital staff was provided to him free of cost by the charity committee of the hospital. This charity committee helps people receive high-quality health care regardless of ability to pay. No patient is ever denied treatment because of the resources available to them.
