We are delighted to share the incredible programs that have brought joy and support to the community of Mendota, CA, and West Fresno County this past holiday season.

 

In October, our Trunk-or-Treat event was a huge success, bringing together 26 partners and 600 community members for a family-friendly Halloween celebration. The evening was filled with costume contests, music, and, of course, lots of candy!

 

November marked one of our most significant events of the year—THANKS for GIVING with AMOR. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, partners, and volunteers, AMOR distributed boxes filled with 15,000 pounds of food to 300 families in need. These Thanksgiving meal boxes not only included pantry essentials but also a whole chicken, pumpkin pie, and fresh corned beef.

 

To conclude the year on a high note, December saw two heartwarming events—Regalos con AMOR and Adopt a Family.

Regalos con AMOR was a collaborative effort that brought together donated toys from Hot Rod Coalition, meals from Central California Food Bank, coats from Fresno churches, and family nominations from local Fresno County organizations and schools. Through this initiative, we were able to provide 80 families with meals and distribute toys to 522 children participating in Headstart programs, Boys and Girls Clubs, and after school programs, spreading joy and festive cheer.

 

We concluded the year with our heartwarming Adopt a Family event. AMOR personally selected 15 families, each with a unique story, to be "adopted" by Fresno companies for Christmas. These families had their Christmas wishlists fulfilled as company teams thoughtfully hand-delivered wrapped presents days before Christmas. The gifts included essential household items, clothing, toys for children, and even some necessary medical devices, creating a memorable and joyous holiday experience for everyone involved.
