Patricia Pizano was used to driving 45 minutes north of Mendota when she or her two daughters needed medical attention. Each time her family needed medical services, Patricia had to ask her employer for time off from work. And she would have to pull her daughters out of school early, causing them to miss valuable instructional time. But everything changed the day that Patricia learned about the services provided by the AMOR Wellness Center in Mendota.

Patricia and her family were previously patients of primary care physicians Dr. Oscar Sablan, and his wife Dr. Marcia Sablan for more than 25 years, following them from Firebaugh to Madera Community Hospital. But Patricia was searching for a new doctor for her and her daughters who could provide the same service and quality closer to home.

During a recent visit to Madera Community Hospital, Dr. Sablan recommended a new clinic operated by Madera Community Hospital in Mendota. Patricia quickly called the AMOR Wellness Center to schedule an appointment for her daughters.

From the minute she walked through the doors of the Family Health Services clinic at the AMOR Wellness Center for her first visit, Patricia knew she had found the same quality and care that she had experienced for the last two decades. Patricia also felt relief knowing that a doctor would now be available to her family 7 days a week just one block away from her home. And thanks to the wellness center’s extended hours she no longer has to leave work early or take her daughters out of school!

As Patricia walked through the halls of the health center with her daughters, her excitement grew seeing the services that are currently offered and additional services that will soon be available to them. Patricia is now looking forward to receiving convenient dental services at the AMOR Wellness Center’s dental clinic.

Patricia and her daughters are extremely grateful for the staff and doctors at the AMOR Wellness Center who have made their primary care transition a smooth and enjoyable one.
