Food insecurity has been a constant challenge for the residents of Mendota and surrounding areas, so we’ve made it our mission to change that. In April and May, AMOR partnered with the Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission to distribute food to a total of 450 families at the AMOR Wellness Center! Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Fresno EOC has served 23,883 families at 72 rural distribution sites.  

Residents took home a week’s worth of healthy food options for the whole family. Boxes and bags were filled with milk, yams, fresh fruit, veggies and pantry staples. We are so grateful to have this opportunity to be on the front lines providing for those in need.   

We look forward to continuing this monthly drive-through food distribution to serve families at the AMOR Wellness Center!
