AMOR and FedEx team up for another back-to-school season to deliver 360 backpacks filled with school supplies to students in rural West Fresno County schools.
FedEx employees and drivers from the HYE Speed Deliveries, Inc. team came together and generously donated a variety of fun and colorful backpacks for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. To help students even more, the AMOR team provided school supply kits in every backpack, which included notebooks, filler paper, folders, rulers, and pencil boxes filled with pencils, glue sticks, dry-erase markers, colored pencils, and pencil sharpeners.
The kids’ excitement couldn’t be contained as they picked out a backpack featuring their favorite character or color and showed one another their choices.
AMOR and FedEx partner every year to support students from schools in underserved communities like Cantua Creek and Tranquility, CA. These small rural towns in West Fresno County each have reported populations of fewer than 900 people and are often overlooked when it comes to access to resources. Many families are also unable to travel to neighboring cities to receive the help they need.
We look forward to continuing this partnership in the coming years and helping even more students and their families overcome educational barriers.
