At AMOR, our mission is to improve the health status of the communities we serve. We are a community based non-profit that strives to ensure equality. We build alliances with other organizations working in areas of concentrated poverty to create a safety-net of medical, social and youth development resources, tailored to the specific needs of each community that we serve.
Our cornerstone project is Afshar Hospital, a 100-bed hospital and ten community clinics. Our cornerstone project employ 155 full time Afghan professionals, provides medical services for over 79,000 patients a year, vaccinates over 10,000 family members and their children each year and in 2017 delivered over 1,900 babies. Health education is taught daily at the hospital, clinics and in three public schools, reaching more than 6,455 individuals monthly ranging in age from 10-90 years.
Impact does not just focus on the numbers and statistics created, but the lives changed by the services we provide. Get to know the people our work serves and hear their stories, straight from Afshar Hospital in Afghanistan. Read More
